If we talk about gays, lesbians and transsexuals, we speak about a small world or another name sometimes used the gay culture.
I'm not going to appoint immediately because a gay culture refers to a common world of experiences, values and knowledge that a particular social unit. We all know that not every gay, lesbian or transsexual wants to associate with the gay culture.
This is because of the many stereotypes that the media reflects about gay people.
Sometimes we forget how difficult it is was to homosexuals people. Gays could not say they were going to a gaybar or a gay disco, while today we can say that. Like-minded people could not just meet up with each other. This happened especially in places where they are not seen or could be disturbed. We can say that they where creating a under ground network to remain in touch with each other. So we can also say they had to develop deep hidden their identity.
If we look to this time than there are a lot of organizations. where a lot of people can go if they have questions. But Internet also made sure people can look up information themselves or may come into contact with other people around the world. Yet it remains difficult and should gay people continue to fight for equality.
Equality not only in society but also equality as human beings. often people say that gays have a number of characteristics. This is called stereotype of gay men. So they talk about a gay man who happens to be female and effeminate. often a job as a Hairdresser from exercises and many other things. lesbian women, is it going to happen to male, very tough and so also men occupations from practice.
A stereotype about a certain group is often created by people outside that group, that certain members of the group can detect, and then generalize that all members of the group in certain ways.
Stereotypes such as: they are very fashion-conscious, funny, emotionally and also often too feminine. Some gay men see this as a damage for the community and other are proud of it.
I can also say that this statement is incorrect and we here should not assume.
Everyone has the right to behave where he or she is comfortable with!
